This may be a little ironic, but this story shows video of an electronics factory burning down. 

Perhaps a  sprinkler system would have prevented a total loss?

Statistics about fires from NFPA Research (United States)

This is a great article about what causes fires in the USA & how often they occur.  It’s data from the USA, but the statistics are just as relevant to Australia.

“Almost all homes have at least one smoke alarm, but 63% of home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes without working smoke alarms.”
