Australian Small Business Awards

We’re proud to announce that 2020 Fire has been nominated as a Finalist in the Trade Category of the Australian Small Business Champion Awards.

“We’re proud of our team and it’s great for them to be recognised for the excellent work they do. As often as I like to thank them, it’s nice to have this external verification that what they’re doing is industry-leading,” said Rob Broadhead, CEO of 2020 Fire Protection.

“Aside for seeking recognition for the achievements of our team, we find great value in the process of creating our submission. In my view, the business case for entering these awards, is that creating the submission challenges us to think about what we do and how we do it – from a different angle.

Writing the submission is an additional trigger to annually bench mark ourselves against other trade businesses. In running a small business, it is easy to get wrapped up in the day to day, and not often consider potential process improvements, particularly those that you can learn from looking at businesses outside of your sector.

Writing the submission this year has led to more creative future ideas for us from an operational, systems and HR perspective. We recommend that other small businesses consider entering these awards – just because it tests you to think about your business.”

Since their inception in 1999, the Australian Small Business Champion Awards have continued to evolve into the nation’s most respected initiative to recognise small business achievements. It is one that 2020 Fire is keen to continue their association with.
