Planning NSW is updating the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation from 1st October 2017. This is the legislation requiring Annual Fire Safety Statements.
Building Owners must now employ a ‘Competent Fire Safety Practitioner‘ to assess their system’s compliance, but Planning NSW hasn’t updated the property or fire industry as who this might be or how building owners determine this- other than there being a ‘register’ planned for the future.
In the interim, 20/20 Fire Protection will have a summary of our assessor’s skills, experience & qualifications available to prove our competence in fire safety assessment.
